How does a KUUS GPS alarm with fall detection work?

The KUUS S4 alarm watch with fall detection allows seniors to live independently and safely at home longer, without an expensive subscription. The S4 is a simple watch with a screen to read the time, a large SOS button on the front and an additional emergency button on the side. This allows the wearer to quickly call for help.
The S4 comes ready to use. You insert the SIM card, pair the watch once with the KUUS app in English and after about 5 minutes everything is ready to use.

The KUUS S4 is a subscription-free alarm watch. It works with an ordinary sim card and is simlock-free, so you choose your own provider throughout Europe. For the Netherlands, we provide a sim card on the KPN network from Lebara.

Family or caregivers use the free English KUUS. app, iOS and Android, to set up the watch, view GPS location, set up contacts and receive emergency notifications. The wearer does not need a smartphone. Everything runs through the SIM card and 4G connection.
Fall detection and emergency button, double security
The KUUS S4 is a watch with automatic fall detection and two SOS buttons, a large SOS button on the front and a smaller SOS button on the side.
When the wearer presses an emergency button, the S4 automatically dials the set SOS numbers, up to 3 numbers in a row. If the first number does not answer, the watch dials through to numbers 2 and 3.
If the watch detects a fall, the fall detection automatically initiates the alarm. After a few seconds, the S4 automatically dials the set SOS numbers, up to 3 numbers in a row.
The sensitivity of the fall detection is adjustable via the app, so you can limit false alarms. If it is a false alarm, the wearer can easily cancel the alarm via the watch.
GPS location and safety zone
Through the KUUS app, loved ones can:

establish a security zone, with notifications upon entry and exit
Note that indoor GPS is less accurate than outdoors. The SOS watch uses GPS, Wi-Fi or LBS for the best available location.
Health mode: medication reminder
The KUUS S4 alarm watch is more than just an emergency button. In health mode, it offers:
Up to 3 medication reminders per day.
The medication reminder is played as a voice prompt on the watch, ideal when medications are otherwise easily forgotten. In the app, family members can view daily steps and measurements if they wish.

What subscription or other charges do I have?
The watches work without a subscription! Many other alarm watches or alarm buttons work with a subscription and we want to break this. Our alarm watches work with every local SIM card When this runs out, you can upgrade the SIM card yourself. With €10 sim credit, you can go about 3 months, depending on your usage. Furthermore, the watch works with our own developed KUUS. Watch app. It is free to use. The estimated cost is the cost of data, i.e. GPS and voice messages. Below is an indication of the cost:

Calls from the watch charged by the minute (from €0.09).
Calls to the watch are free.
In the Lebara app, you have an overview of the cost of the watch. What you do not use of this credit, you can use the following month. Call credit with Lebara remains valid at all times, as long as you use the watch once every 90 days.
How does SOS button / panic button or fall detection work?
The user can press the SOS button himself in case of emergency (there is 1 button on the watch, this is the SOS button). The watch will then dial preset numbers. Does number 1 not pick up? Then number 2 and 3 are automatically called. The KUUS. S2 watch additionally has a fall detection function. If the GPS tracker watch detects an unexpected (fall) movement, it will automatically start calling preset phone numbers. The user can also cancel this if it is a false alarm. You can adjust the sensitivity of the alarm. NOTE: If your voicemail is on, the watch cannot forward calls to the next in the list. The watch then thinks it is “recorded” and cannot make a call through. So turn off your voicemail if you want to be called by the SOS watch!
What is the delivery time of the watch, when will it be shipped?
Our senior watches are delivered to your mailbox within 2 business days! Of course, it is well packaged in a sturdy mailbox box so that the product arrives without damage. So you don’t have to stay home for delivery. 📬 😇
Am I taking a long time to install? What is plug and play?
Our senior watches are pre-programmed. All you have to do is insert the SIM card and pair the watch with our app. The rest will go by itself. The installation will take about 5 minutes if you read the manual. The senior watches come with a paper manual in Dutch. Do you prefer to watch an instructional video? This is also included! 😇
How long does the battery or accumulator last?
The battery lasts 1 to 2 days, just like a smartphone. This depends on how intensively you use the watch. If you call or update the GPS location more often, the battery will drain faster. Maximize battery life by setting the GPS location update to 1 hour.
Should I disable voicemail for the 3 people receiving the SOS alarm notification ?
NOTE: If your voicemail is on, the watch cannot forward calls to the next in the list. The watch then thinks it is “recorded” and cannot make a call through. So turn off your voicemail if you want to be called by the SOS watch!
