Omdat mijn moeder nu alleen woont, heb ik haar een Kuus S2 horloge cadeau gedaan. Het is een beetje uitproberen met de instellingen maar nu werkt het wel goed. Soms te goed. Want de valdetectie gaat af als ze aan het stoeien met de hond, de autodeur dicht gooit of hout voor de openhaard aan het stapelen is. Maar hier hebben we samen een weg in gevonden. (We hangen op en via de app krijg ik een update. Als deze niet komt kan ik in actie komen). Ontvangst was een probleem binnenhuis, maar na het plaatsen van een antenne op het dak en binnenshuis heeft.ze nu overal in huis ontvangst met haar horloge (dikke muren zijn een probleem, ze woont in een oud Frans huis met enorme muren). Hij is helaas wel vaak leeg. Ze moet hemn2x per dag opladen om er zeker van te zijn dat ze in de nacht niet zonder komt te zitten. Dus, tijdens het ontbijt, dan zit ze stil en in de avond voor het slapen gaan. Door de dikke muren is de locatie ook niet accuraat. En het ligt er ook aan waar in het dorp haar horloge het signaal op pikt. Maar stel dat ze zou vallen met het uitlaten van de hond is het horloge (alarmknop en valdetectie) in combinatie van haar smartphone (functie: waar is mijn telefoon) is ze wel te vinden en kan ik er iemand (of hulpdiensten) op af sturen. Ik heb meerdere malen met de klantenservice gebeld en kreeg iedere keer prima, vriendelijk, deskundig advies. En als er geen gehoor was, werd ik netjes terug besteld. Al met al is dit een mooie oplossing met wat extra aanpassingen. Maar mijn moeder wonende in Frankrijk is ook niet doorsnee en is het anders dan in Nederland. Wat de simkaart pin code betreft wat ik las in een review: heel simpel… stop de sim kaart in een telefoon en verwijder de pincode beveiliging er af en stop de sim kaart dan pas in het horloge. Dan hoeft de persoon in kwestie de pincode niet via het horloge innte voeren!

What subscription or other charges do I have?
The watches work without a subscription! Many other alarm watches or alarm buttons work with a subscription and we want to break this. Our alarm watches work with every local SIM card When this runs out, you can upgrade the SIM card yourself. With €10 sim credit, you can go about 3 months, depending on your usage. Furthermore, the watch works with our own developed KUUS. Watch app. It is free to use. The estimated cost is the cost of data, i.e. GPS and voice messages. How does SOS button / panic button or fall detection work?
The user can press the SOS button himself in case of emergency (there is 1 button on the watch, this is the SOS button). The watch will then dial preset numbers. Does number 1 not pick up? Then number 2 and 3 are automatically called. The KUUS. S2 watch additionally has a fall detection function. If the GPS tracker watch detects an unexpected (fall) movement, it will automatically start calling preset phone numbers. The user can also cancel this if it is a false alarm. You can adjust the sensitivity of the alarm. NOTE: If your voicemail is on, the watch cannot forward calls to the next in the list. The watch then thinks it is “recorded” and cannot make a call through. So turn off your voicemail if you want to be called by the SOS watch!
Does the GPS watch also work in Belgium or on vacation?
Yes. Our watch works throughout Europe and UK The included English manual explains how to activate the watch in Belgium 🇧🇪, or Germany 🇩🇪, or Spanje🇪🇸, or all other European countries ! 🇪🇺 Our watch is pre-programmed on the KPN network. Therefore, we also recommend opting for the included SIM card. We provide the Lebara SIM card on the KPN network for free with the watch. We tested this ourselves in Belgium and it works perfectly. The cost is also very low across Europe (across Europe the cost is the same)
How is it different from an Apple watch or other smartwatch?
An Apple watch only in conjunction with an iPhone, and our watch works stand alone with a SIM card. So seniors do not need to have a smartphone to use this watch. How long does the battery or accumulator last?
The battery lasts 1 to 2 days, just like a smartphone. This depends on how intensively you use the watch. If you call or update the GPS location more often, the battery will drain faster. Maximize battery life by setting the GPS location update to 1 hour.
