How does a KUUS GPS alarm with fall detection work?
For the wearer, it is simply a watch to see the time. It works independently and does not need to be paired with another device via bluetooth. (works with SIM card).
The family/caregiver easily links the senior alarm watch with fall detection to the English app with the instructional video. Through the app, you set everything up and have insight into your loved one’s GPS location.

With the KUUS. S5 fall detection watch, seniors can stay independent and safe at home without an expensive subscription. The S5 is made for older users, with large icons, a clear color touchscreen, and one easy SOS button. Its slim design fits more comfortably on smaller wrists.
The S5 arrives ready to use. Insert the SIM card, connect the watch once to the KUUS. app, and you are set up in about 5 minutes.

The KUUS. S5 is an SOS alarm watch with no subscription. It works with a standard SIM card and is SIM unlocked, so you can choose your own provider across Europe. The watch works fully standalone on 4G.

Taking incoming calls from family or caregivers
Family or caregivers use the free KUUS app (iOS & Android) to set up the watch, view GPS location, set up a geozone (virtual fence), and make or video calls to the watch as needed. The wearer himself does not need a smartphone, everything runs via a SIM card and 4G connection.
Fall detection and SOS button, double safety
The KUUS. S5 is both a personal alarm and a fall detection watch:
If the wearer presses the large SOS button, the watch automatically calls the saved emergency contacts within seconds, up to 3 numbers in a row.
If the watch detects a fall, it triggers the alarm automatically and shares the current GPS location via the app.
To reduce false alerts, you can adjust the fall detection sensitivity in 8 levels, from very sensitive to less sensitive. This lets you match the settings to the wearer’s mobility and fall risk. If it is a false alarm, the wearer can cancel the alarm directly on the watch.
GPS watch for seniors with live tracking and safety zone

With the free KUUS. app, family or caregivers can:
See the live GPS location of the watch
View location history
Set a safety zone, for example around the home or a care facility
If the wearer leaves the zone, family receives an automatic alert on their phone.
This helps you stay on top of things in cases like dementia or wandering, without taking away freedom.
Health mode: heart rate monitor and medication reminde
The KUUS. S5 is more than a personal alarm. In health mode there are up to 3 medication reminders per day.
The medication reminder plays as a voice alert on the watch, so medication is less likely to be missed. In the app, family can view daily steps and measurements if needed.
Video calling & contacts
The English-language, ad-free KUUS. app also allows for video calling. Family or caregivers can initiate a video call, so the senior not only hears a voice, but also sees a familiar face.
In the app’s phonebook, you can store up to 10 important contacts . If one of these people calls, the wearer will see name and photo on the screen, added recognition and peace of mind, especially with incipient dementia.

What subscription or other charges do I have?
The watches work without a subscription! Many other alarm watches or alarm buttons work with a subscription and we want to break this. Our alarm watches work with every local SIM card When this runs out, you can upgrade the SIM card yourself. With €10 sim credit, you can go about 3 months, depending on your usage. Furthermore, the watch works with our own developed KUUS. Watch app. It is free to use. The estimated cost is the cost of data, i.e. GPS and voice messages. Below is an indication of the cost:
Internet costs (data) about €1 per month. (to see GPS location and send messages)
Calls from the watch charged by the minute (from €0.09).
Calls to the watch are free.
In the Lebara app, you have an overview of the cost of the watch. What you do not use of this credit, you can use the following month. Call credit with Lebara remains valid at all times, as long as you use the watch once every 90 days.
How does SOS button / panic button or fall detection work?
The user can press the SOS button himself in case of emergency (there is 1 button on the watch, this is the SOS button). The watch will then dial preset numbers. Does number 1 not pick up? Then number 2 and 3 are automatically called. The KUUS. S2 watch additionally has a fall detection function. If the GPS tracker watch detects an unexpected (fall) movement, it will automatically start calling preset phone numbers. The user can also cancel this if it is a false alarm. You can adjust the sensitivity of the alarm. NOTE: If your voicemail is on, the watch cannot forward calls to the next in the list. The watch then thinks it is “recorded” and cannot make a call through. So turn off your voicemail if you want to be called by the SOS watch!
Does the GPS Watch also Work in Belgium, Germany or on Vacation?
Yes. Our watch works throughout Europe and UK The included manual explains how you can activate the watch in the Netherlands 🇳🇱, Belgium 🇧🇪, or Germany 🇩🇪, or Spain🇪🇸, or all other European countries! 🇪🇺
Our watch is pre-programmed on the KPN network. We provide the Lebara SIM card on the KPN network free with the watch. That’s why we also recommend choosing the included SIM card.
The connection with the free SIM card is also very good in Belgium or Germany, but you can also use your own local SIM card. Below is an overview of providers we recommend:

How is it different from an Apple watch or other smartwatch?
An Apple watch only in conjunction with an iPhone, and our watch works stand alone with a SIM card. So seniors do not need to have a smartphone to use this watch. Still, calls can be made with this alarm watch, as there is a prepaid SIM card in the watch. Without a subscription fee. This KUUS. Alarm watch is specially designed for seniors with large icons.
What is the delivery time of the watch, when will it be shipped?
Our senior watches are delivered to your mailbox within 2 business days! Of course, it is well packaged in a sturdy mailbox box so that the product arrives without damage. So you don’t have to stay home for delivery. 📬 😇
Am I taking a long time to install? What is plug and play?
Our senior watches are pre-programmed. All you have to do is insert the SIM card and pair the watch with our app. The rest will go by itself. The installation will take about 5 minutes if you read the manual. The senior watches come with a paper manual in Dutch. Do you prefer to watch an instructional video? This is also included! 😇
How long does the battery or accumulator last?
The battery lasts 1 to 2 days, just like a smartphone. This depends on how intensively you use the watch. If you call or update the GPS location more often, the battery will drain faster. Maximize battery life by setting the GPS location update to 1 hour.
How many medication reminders can be set on watch?
Up to 3 notifications/reminders can be set for the medicine detector.
Should I disable voicemail for the 3 people receiving the SOS alarm notification ?
NOTE: If your voicemail is on, the watch cannot forward calls to the next in the list. The watch then thinks it is “recorded” and cannot make a call through. So turn off your voicemail if you want to be called by the SOS watch!
