What is an IP camera or WiFi camera?
An IP camera stands for Internet Protocol Camera. This means that camera is connected to a Wi-Fi network. This connection is used to transmit images. This allows you to watch the images taken by the camera live via an app, for example. However, it is required that the camera is always connected to an Internet network.
How does an IP camera or WiFi camera work?
The KUUS. C2 IP camera works like any other IP camera with internet. You can use this camera in 2 different ways via Wi-Fi.
The first way is to connect the camera to your home network so you can watch the camera from anywhere in the world via the KUUS. app.
The second way is AP mode. This works without the Internet.
IP camera without internet
The KUUS. C2 camera also works without an Internet connection. This is possible because an SD card can be inserted into the camera. This is where the images are stored.
This AP mode allows your phone, tablet or other wireless Wi-Fi device to connect to the camera’s signal. This is also how you can view the images. This does require you to be near the camera (max. 10 meters), otherwise you can’t get a connection.
AP mode allows you to view images stored on the SD card.
It is also possible to view the images with a PC. Then remove the SD card from the camera in insert it into the PC to view the stored images.
In short, the KUUS. C2 camera can be used in different ways and thus internet connection is not required.
